What to Expect When You Book Your Video Production
Step 1 – Initial Inquiry and Consultation
When you first contact us via website, social media, or email, we’ll ask you to provide us with the necessary information about your project, such as the type of video, desired length, budget, and deadline.
Soon after that, we’ll set up a consultation via Zoom or phone call (whichever is easiest on your schedule) to discuss the project in more detail. Here, we’ll learn more about your goals, target audience, brand style, and any special requirements you may have for this project. In this phase, we discuss the scope of the project, the budget, and the timeline.
Step 2 – Proposal and Quotation
We will create a detailed proposal outlining the project's scope, objectives, and deliverables based on our initial contact and consultation.
After you have received the proposal, please review it and ensure everything is correct. Once you approve it, we will move forward to the next stage.
Step 3 – Contract and Deposit
One word: contract. Yes, just the word “contract” can be daunting, but we believe it needs to be more commonplace as it protects both parties involved. It helps ensure you get what you paid for and holds all parties accountable. We draft a contract that covers all the agreed-upon terms, including project scope, payment terms, intellectual property rights, and cancellation policies.
Upon the signing of the contract by both parties, we collect a non-refundable retainer fee to secure the date, typically 30-50%
Step 4 – Pre-Production and Planning
And now, the fun part! Step 4 is all about pre-production, where we develop a creative brief that includes shot lists, storyboards, location scouting (If necessary), talent needs, and any other details specific to your project!
We share this creative process and brief with you for your approval, and upon receiving it, we jump right into planning the day of production!
Step 5 – Production Day
On your production day, we arrive early to set up equipment, test lighting, and ensure that our gear functions correctly. Since communication is at the forefront of video production, we will update the client throughout the day to ensure they are comfortable with how the shoot is progressing and address any concerns immediately.
We also understand that on the days of shooting, sticking 100 Percent to the storyboard is sometimes not feasible, so we remain flexible and capture any spontaneous moments that may enhance the final video.

Step 6 – Post Production
After we have wrapped the shoot, the footage and files go to our editors, who start the editing process as agreed upon by the timeline. This stage includes cutting footage, color grading, adding motion graphics, and other project assets.
We provide the client with a first draft for review, which usually includes two to three rounds of revisions. We then use your feedback to finalize the video.
Step 7 – Delivery
Once the video is finalized, we send an invoice for the remaining balance on this project. We then deliver the final in the agreed-upon format, whether that's Google Drive, Dropbox, or something specific to the project.
Are you worried about accidentally losing your video? We try our best to back up our client's footage for up to a year so that they have access in the future should they need it!
Step 8 – Post-Project Follow Up
After a month, we typically contact you for feedback on the project. This is to ensure that we are continuing to improve our services in every category. We want to know what you liked about the service, what you didn’t like, and what you feel we could improve upon.
Our goal, as a company, is to ensure that our clients have a smooth experience from inquiry to delivery.
